Our Team public relations agency san francisco

When it comes to PR, it's definitely who you know that counts.

From food and premium beverages to high-tech and healthcare, we work with the best in the business. Which means you do, too. And, because Mortar is an integrated shop, your message will always transition seamlessly between the public and the press.

When people told Kevin Lewis that the best training he could get for working on progressive causes was "herding 800 cats," they probably didn't think he'd take them literally.

Clearly, those people have no future in integrated communications.

Kevin brings more than seven years of public relations experience in technology, the arts, non-profit organizations, and hospitality to Mortar. His past clients include the California Academy of Sciences, TRUSTe, Become.com, the American Craft Council, NBC Universal, the San Francisco Symphony, Delicato Vineyards, JanKris Winery, the San Francisco Cuisine series of books, Magnatune and AMP Netconnect, a division of Tyco Electronics, and our personal favorite, the Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) International Cat Show, "showcasing more than 800 felines representing 41 breeds."

Kevin has placed his clients in a number of top national and local publications including The Associated Press, USA Today, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, KGO-TV, KPIX-TV, KRON-TV, KQED-FM's "Forum," KGO-AM, and KCBS-AM.

We're assuming he left out Cat Fancy because he's modest.

Additionally, Kevin holds journalism experience as the former political columnist for San Francisco Spectrum and has also volunteered PR support to non-profits like the San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Center. His love of politics lead him to a volunteer position as the Assistant Communications Director of "Yearly Kos," a conference associated with Daily Kos, one of the most successful blogs on the Internet.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism from Ithaca College, as well as a big ball of yarn.

Walk through Mortar World Headquarters at pretty much any hour of the day, and you'll hear Kena pitching journalists and landing interviews for Mortar's clients. When she's not on the phone, you'll find her cranking out press materials and developing her next pitch.

Let's check her stats:

She's managed PR for the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

She's Ivy League. She's organized fashion shows. She's lived abroad. She's served on the board at The Lab - not just an art space, but an experimental artspace.

All of which begs the question: why's she slumming with us?
Maybe she hit her head and has amnesia. (In which case, we don't have to pay her. Mark, look into that?)

Maybe it's some sort of sociological study.

Wait. Maybe we're part of some experimental art piece right now!

As you can see, Kena blows our minds on a regular basis. Give her your PR responsibilities, and she'll do the same for yours.

We could tell you how Erica Rogers-Dublin has launched products for Lucasfilm, Electronic Arts, Yahoo! Games, Sega, and Turner. Or drop some puns about how she managed the Star Wars and Indiana Jones brands in Europe and Asia Pacific. We could blather on about her expertise in product and corporate brand strategy. Or go for the cheap heartstring tug and tell you how she co-founded a non-profit for animal welfare called Saving Tails and blogs about her cat.

But here’s what you really want to know: Erica is a former San Diego Charger Girl. That’s right - Pom-poms. Backflips. U-G-L-Y you-ain’t-got-no-alibi. While Erica may never have inspired the Bolts to a Lombardi Trophy, she never fails to inspire wonder in your brand.

We’ve got spirit. Yes we do. We’ve got spirit. How ‘bout you?
